What to do with your Lawn in Winter

As winter progresses, you may be noticing that your lawn is looking far from its usual, healthy summer self. That isn’t necessarily as bad thing because it’s inevitable that lawns and grass will die off a little over the winter, in the same way as plants and flowers do. This is a short guide to caring for your lawn through winter. The winter is a good time to fertilise your lawn and give it some TLC after the summer. You can apply fertiliser generously, according to the instructions. It is also a good idea to aerate your lawn and let the roots get some extra oxygen. This will help it to grow stronger and healthier once the weather becomes warm again. Keeping your lawn clear is also important. Rake up leaves and debris on a regular basis, or it can begin to suffocate your lawn (and your aeration will go to waste).
